SCHOOL NEWS:

 

Announcing Auditions for SWHS Fall Musical Legally Blonde!

Auditions are Sept 4th from 2-4pm in the SWHS Seminar Room and September 5th from 2-4pm in the SWHS Auditorium. Callbacks are on Sept 6th from2-4pm in the SWHS Auditorium .  Join the Google Classroom - bbpcvlt

 

The Teen Center will be open for High School students beginning Wednesday, September 11th, Join us at the Teen Center for snacks, games, and to chill with friends after school. We are open until 4:30pm or late bus pick up.

SCHOOL NEWS:

 

Important Notice for Students with Late Arrival or Cafe Study Hall in Periods 1 or 2:

Due to senior exams, our schedule has changed on June 5th and 6th:

June 5th: Lunch will be during Period 1.

June 6th: Lunch will be during Period 2.

If you have Late Arrival or Cafe Study Hall during these periods and are not excused by a parent or guardian, you must report to the Seminar Room and you will have lunch during the Fourth Lunch Wave.

At the bell, you will proceed to the last period of the day. For any questions, please check the final exam schedule posted online. 

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:  

 

The Science Olympiad is hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday, June 5th from 4 to 7pm at a local sandwich shop located at 1006 Sullivan Avenue. 

The NHS Environmental Committee will be hosting a fundraiser at a local ice cream shop in Evergreen Walk on Wednesday, June 5th.

 

ATHLETICS:

 

Anyone interested in playing girls soccer in the Fall should attend the information meeting on Monday June 3rd in Room 102 at 2:50.

Attention all students taking AP Statistics during the 2024-2025 school year:

There is a mandatory meeting on Monday, June 3 at 2:10pm in the Media Center Seminar Room. Summer work will be passed out and expectations will be discussed at the meeting. See Mr. Brindisi in Room 265 if you have any questions.

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

The Hope Club will be having their final meeting TODAY after school in Rm 207. Come celebrate all of our successes this year, honor our best volunteers and most active club members, discuss next year's plans and hangout with some delicious food! We HOPE to see you there!

 

ATHLETICS:

 

All spring athletes are encouraged to go into their particular sport’s Google classroom and complete the End of Season Athletic Survey.

There is a mandatory meeting on Thursday, May 30th at 2pm in Room 103. Your summer work will be passed out. See Mrs. Powell in Room 223 if you have any questions.

The 9th Grade Class will be wearing their Spirit Shirts on Thursday, May 23rd for elections. Please show your class spirit and wear your 2027 shirt.


CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:  


NHS is hosting a fundraiser at a local ice cream shop at 301 Evergreen Way on Memorial Day, May 27th from 4pm-9pm to support the World Wildlife Fund. Come show your support and mention NHS when making your purchase.


Cooking Club will be meeting on Thursday, May 23rd at 2:05 PM in Room 105. This month we will be celebrating a Summer Kickoff & Cinco de Mayo Theme with: Mango Mocktails, 5 Layer Dip with Tortilla chips, a Hummus Garden with vegetables and pita chips, Cheese Quesadillas, Chicken and Steak Fajitas, No-Bake Confetti Cheesecake and Lemon Cookies. Please bring $5 to Sra. Ruiz in AN 56 or to Sra. Hwang in AN 37 to reserve your spot today. Hurry, as spots fill up quickly! As a reminder, this will be our last meeting for this year so don't miss out!


The French Club "Le Lynx" will meet on Wednesday May 22nd from 2:10 pm until the late bus in Room 105. We will be making Crepes with Nutella, banana, strawberries and whipped cream and Madeleines aux oranges. Space is limited to 20 students. Please see Mr. Ly to reserve your spot or with questions. Everyone is welcome. 


Mind's Eye will meet after school on Wednesday from 2-2:30. It is very important that all members attend, as we will be reviewing the magazine!


The Environmental Club is selling t-shirts to promote “Earth Day is Every Day!” Shirts will be sold in the Cafe and in Ms. Eitel’s classroom Room 206 from February 26th thru June. Students will wear the shirts on specific days to show their love of conservation and environmental stewardship.

SCHOOL NEWS:
