COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:
The Career Center continues to get new job opportunities – please check the “Part-Time Jobs” board if you are interested in working. We are also booking new college visits every day. Visits will start on Monday, September 19th. Representatives from many colleges will be coming throughout the fall to meet with interested students in Grades 11 and 12. These are opportunities to hear a presentation about the school, pick up materials, get on a mailing list, show your interest, and ask questions. College visits are excused absences from class, but you must check in with your teacher to make sure it is an appropriate time for you to go. All visits are listed in Naviance. Please see Mrs. Carty in the Career Center if you have any questions.
The New England Association for College Admission Counseling will host a College Fair on Sunday, September 18th from 12-2 PM at Western New England University in their Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Over 100 schools will be represented and admission is free. For more information, go to WNE.edu/visit. You will also find a poster in the Career Center on the Special Program bulletin board.
