This summer, South Colonie students in grades K-12 attended a six week summer experience at Shaker Road Elementary School. The students completed academics in the morning and attended Physical Education and art classes as well. Each afternoon, the students went on a field trip into our community where they enjoyed time with their peers and the staff. This year, we visited the YMCA in Guilderland, Lansing Farm, Krause’s Candy, Spare Time bowling alley, Cook Park, the movies at Crossgates Mall, Scoops, the Colonie Village Fire Department and the NYS Museum. We also enjoyed pizza from Sara Bellas in Colonie. We hope you will view our slide show for highlights of our kids enjoying their summer experience!
