Mrs. Dollard and the Shaker Road Elementary School Green Team had several volunteers do lots of labor on Labor Day to get the Courtyard spruced up for the start of the school year.
Over the course of a normal summer the Courtyard can get overgrown with weeds so you can imagine what it looked like this year with all that rain! We took a dozen big bags of weeds to the curb to help grow the compost pile at the landfill, which allowed us to prepare for new lessons in the Courtyard. The weather station is running well and we are working on a way to have that data made available in every classroom. Go Green! Go Turtles!
