Colonie Central High School students Gautham Salgam and Joseph Vachaparambil have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the School and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented these scholastically talented seniors. Roessleville Elementary School students compete in a variety of track events this spring at the 7th annual Just Run Track Meet last June. Students who placed in the Top 3 for the races they ran received their medals recently. They are Elizabeth Grim, Zoey Simon, Robbie Frey and Vincent Mastrianni.
The Veeder Elementary School community last spring worked to collect spare change and donated it to “Change for Children” to help school children in Africa and Peru. Veeder students held lemonade stands, scoured parents’ pockets and did odd jobs around their homes while Veeder adults supported the children in these efforts and offered the change …

The Colonie Central High School Counseling Center recognized 358 students from grades 10-12 on Friday, September 15 as 2017 Raider Scholars at a school ceremony.
