This painting is a pretty famous one by a remarkable artist called Vincent van Gough. He had many famous paintings, and this is one of his most iconic paintings of all time with its creation date on July 1889.

It was created in Saint Rémy.It was pretty famous for its time with the original copy selling between $70 million to $100 million dollars which is a lot for a picture on an oil canvas. Van Gough thought that this piece of art was a complete failure, which it is not!

The life Vincent van Gogh

Van Gogh’s life ranged from 1853 to 1890. He was the eldest out of six childrens He started drawing in 1880 untill his death date in 1890. He drew Starry Night when he was in the hospital after showing symptoms of mental disturbances. During this period of time, he was not well. He died two days later with his brother, Theo, at his bedside. In 1914, Theo’s remains were moved next to Van Gogh’s, and now you can see their two identical tombstones side by side in a cemetery in Auvers.
