Another Thomas Lynch Award is being added to increase the total to 8. The DePiante Scholarship Fund will have a slight adjustment up in the amount being given.

By-Laws: Given the resignation of Jamie Bordell ’75 on 09/14/2023, we do have an opening on this committee.
Class Representatives: Nothing directly to report, but note the following:
Jeff Clutcher '78 gave notice at the October 25th 2021 meeting that in 2026 he would like to give up his registrar and historian positions. Please contact Jeff if you have an interest in learning more about this opportunity to help the Alumni Association. Consider working alongside Jeff for a period of time to review what he does and to establish an orderly turnover of his current responsibilities.
Educational Fund: See note on Awards for details.
Memorabilia: Bruce Clutcher ’72 gave to the Alumni Association a class picture from 1931 in Washington, DC. Instead of investing in a yearbook that year, the class went to DC and had a class picture made as part of their tour.
Nominations: The following slate of officers were approved at the meeting tonight and will be recommended at the May 25th 2024 banquet. On a motion from Tammy Linton Glowatski ’87 and Amy Henninger Rachu ’83, the motion was submitted. All were in favor.

Vice President - Eric Noll ’94

Registrar - Jeff Clutcher ‘78
(Note - Secretary is currently an open position)
Publicity: Amy Henninger Rachu ’83 will be coordinating alumni activity for the banquet, including securing a photographer for 7:30pm with the News-Item.
Website: John Clutcher ‘74 reported the following:
For a historical perspective, the initial alumni webpage was created on April 8th, 1998 using my AOL account. It relocated to the high school server on February 12th, 2002. On June 20th, 2011, it relocated to the schoolwires.net server as part of the school district web service.
Routine maintenance, such as email updates, posting minutes/newsletter, graduation/banquet programs, updating “US Mailing Addresses Missing,” posting Class Reunion information, and changing class representatives are an ongoing process. You can check out the website using the following path:

Webpage report reflects Facebook entry for the alumni association created in the fall 2014. Current membership is at 355 (up from 341 at the January 8th 2024 meeting).
John reported that he would like to step down from the website and Facebook support next summer (2025). He received some additional feedback on 2 candidates who may be able to provide some help in this area. The goal is to find someone and work with them over a period of time to support the transition. See John Clutcher if you have any interest. Contact info is on the website main page.

OLD BUSINESS: None to review.
NEW BUSINESS:
Amy Henninger Rachu ’83 provided some feedback from Bonny Klinger ’68 concerning the banquet and senior attendance. Last year we had 25 no-shows of students who planned to attend. The alumni association still had to pay for those reservations. The recommendation is to have a $10 deposit collected which will be refunded at the banquet. Those unable to provide the $10 fee due to financial concerns would still be able to sign up for the banquet but would need to coordinate that detail with an administrator. This would be implemented at the 2025 banquet.
COMMENTS: Nothing at this time.
With no further business, on a motion from Amy Henninger Rachu ’83 and Tammy Linton Glowatski ’87, with full group approval, the meeting was adjourned around 7:10pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
John Clutcher ‘74
Acting Secretary
