PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:
Todd Hockenbroch ’97, Principal reported:
We have a board meeting Tuesday night at the same time unfortunately that I am required to attend. Please let the association know I am extremely sorry for not being able to make it. I would like to report that the school year has started off very positive. We had an amazing group of seniors graduate last year and the class of 2020 appears to be picking right up where the class of 2019 left off. We have already had a student score a 700 on the math SAT! We have more students than ever before in our Advanced Placement courses. We have double the number of students from last year participating in our various clubs and organizations. We are holding our annual college fair on Tuesday the 15th to provide as many opportunities as possible to our students to further their education. This year we have allowed sophomores to attend the Northumberland County Career and Technical Center. Finally, we have flooded the halls up there with students!!! Mr. Hynoski and I continue to give every student opportunities to achieve their dreams’.

John Klinger ’68 asked if Paul Hammus can get newsletters out earlier. John Clutcher ’74 will check on this request and report back at the next meeting.
Comments from John Clutcher:
Mary Anne Brennan Stump ’00 would need to do the follow-up with Mark Paulhamus of Paulhamus Litho, Inc. in terms of required deadlines to see when an earlier mail out can occur. She coordinates the Newsletter activity with Mark. If there are any changes, I recommend we update the policy we have on the website. This past year Mark delivered the newsletters to the mailing house on April 11th or so and I received mine on April 19th. My brother Jeff got his on the 18th. Additionally, I post a PDF copy of the newsletter on the webpage for reference for those who don’t get a newsletter or for those who receive theirs late but want to participate with the banquet. We can discuss this more at the January meeting.
Afterglow: A discussion on this followed and it was decided that it would still be held, however a concern was made on how to keep the Banquet attendees from leaving and remain for the Afterglow. Some suggestions were made and they will be followed up on, and it will be reported at the next meeting.
