PRINCIPAL REPORT:
Todd Hockenbroch’97 reported that 50 seniors are registered to take the exam which will be administrated mid-May. Exact date and time TBD. Social distancing will be provided when taking the test. Mr. Hockenbroch announced that the awards night will be on June 10, 2020. He will provide a copy of the winners to Greg Dwulet, ’68, Treasurer via a spreadsheet after the event. Information on the spreadsheet should contain the name of the student, home address, college attending, field he/she is majoring in, the amount of the award and if the award is Shamokin Area or Coal Township. This spreadsheet will represent not only the scholarship winners of those taking the test, but all the other scholarships and awards the alumni association maintains.

Q: Why was my name removed from receiving a newsletter after I turned 100 years old?
A: When a newsletter is mailed to an alumnus who is over 100 years old, we truly don’t know if they are alive and well, deceased or if that newsletter is simply being thrown away. Periodically our alumni registrar reviews public databases to see if any of these centurions are deceased in which we update our information. This is not a foolproof process to fully know who should be on the mailing. At some point in time we make a cutoff to the mailing. Please let Jeff know if you were removed in error.
