Aug. 30, 2024: SLPS Welcomes 21 International Teachers Through Cultural Exchange Program
(St. Louis, Missouri) — Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS) is excited to announce the addition of 21 teachers from Ghana and the Philippines as part of an innovative cultural exchange program. These educators have been recruited to fill crucial teaching positions in Middle School Science, Middle School Math, and Elementary classrooms, addressing hard-to-fill vacancies amid a national teacher shortage. Oct. 15, 2024: St. Louis Board of Education Announces Update on the Employment of Dr. Keisha Scarlett
St. Louis, MO – On October 14, 2024, the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis held an evidentiary hearing on matters related to the employment of Dr. Keisha Scarlett. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board of Education voted to terminate the employment of Dr. Scarlett for cause, effective immediately. By virtue of this vote, Dr. Scarlett is no longer an employee of Saint Louis Public Schools.
