Mrs. Kiara Franklin, LMSW
Kiara Franklin joined the district in October 2023 as the Coordinator of Social Workers for Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS). Her time at SLPS has been focused on Student Wellness by ensuring social work services are provided to our students. This includes partnering with community agencies to support our students’ mental health and wellness needs.
My entire career has prepared me to serve in this role which provides me the opportunity to continue positively impacting the lives of students in this beautiful city. My primary goal is to ensure our students have access to quality mental health services and providers despite any challenges that arise.
Before coming to Saint Louis Public Schools, Mrs. Franklin spent several years as a School Social Worker working directly with students, families, and staff. In that role, she provided students with the support they needed to help regulate them for classroom readiness. She also briefly served as an Assistant School Leader of Culture prior to accepting this role.
Mrs. Franklin earned her master’s in social work from the Saint Louis University, and her bachelor’s in social work and criminal justice from Lindenwood University. Mrs. Kiara Franklin and her high school sweetheart, Ricardo, have been married 11 years and have 4 daughters & 2 sons.
