Utility Assistance
- LIHEAP and LIWAP : https://mydss.mo.gov/utility-assistance
- Energy Assistance- a one time payment for either heating or cooling costs between October-May
- Energy Crisis Intervention Program (ECIP)- Helps pay your bill when you have a termination or disconnection notice indicating a specific disconnection date. The amount of assistance you receive is based on the amount of the bill
- Winter ECIP is available November-May based on funding- Maximum amount you can get is $800
- Summer ECIP is available June-Semtember. The maximum amount you can get is $600
- Eligibility:
- Are responsible for paying the utilities for your home (or rental)
- Are a Missouri resident
- Are a US citizen (or have been legally admitted for permanent residence)
- Have less than $3,000 in your bank account, retirement accounts, or investments
- Meet or are below the income guidelines for your household size (Income Guidelines)

- Complete LIHEAP application (Application)
- If applying online then click submit at end of application
- Upload required documents
- Or mail in documents and application to indicicated agency
