Early College Academy Enrollment New Students
|
Today, the SLPS Early College Academy (ECA) held its orientation on the St. Louis Community College at Forest Park campus. ECA is a dual enrollment program, in partnership with St. Louis Community College, that allows scholars to spend their junior and senior years as full time college students while concurrently finishing high school. Upon completion, students receive both a high school diploma and an associates degree. Students selected to attend are still able to participate in sports and extracurricular activities at their home school. To attend, students must apply during their sophomore year. Last year’s inaugural cohort, which is comprised of 27 juniors entering their senior year of high school and sophomore year of college, will be joined by 38 incoming juniors from nine SLPS high schools. At the orientation, incoming scholars and their parents went on a guided tour of campus and registered for classes for the fall semester. |
