Welcome to my page! I am a Biology teacher here at Sage Creek as well as the Science Olympiad coordinator. I fell in love with science while exploring my mountain hometown of Idyllwild from a young age, and this interest has driven me to further investigate what secrets the natural world has to tell. Pursuing this interest has lead me to study in New Orleans, Italy and the Netherlands. I continued on to complete research in the jungles of Indonesia, ultimately leading me to education where I've been able to explore the outdoors with students all over California. I am excited to teach not only to share my passions, but also to help students find their own interests, and develop their own skills to fully investigate the world around them.

When not in the classroom I spend a lot of time outdoors. In the summers I work with horses and try to do as many camping and climbing trips as possible. During the school year I volunteer at an organic farm and throw ceramics to keep my hands busy. Come winter I love snowboarding, and taking Ojai, our dog, on runs to stay warm.
