US History Databases
American History: Library of Congress
JSTOR contains the complete archives of a set of core scholarly journals. Current issues are not included which means there is usually a 2- to 5-year gap between the most recently published issue and the most recent in JSTOR. Coverage begins with the first volume of each journal, many of which date from the 1800s. The articles are scanned so that what you see is a page image, a replica of the original journal page.
Important Features to Remember:
Advanced Search- Using Advanced Search you can narrow down your results by fields such as publication year, item type and a journal filter which can help filter by discipline (Such as American History for Example…)
Text Analyzer- This tool can take a portion of what you have already written and will search for articles based on keywords found in your writing. A great way to find more resources for those longer assignments!
Gale Academic OneFile is the premier source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive. With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly.Important Features to Remember:
Topic Finder- This search device creates a visual graph of subtopics within your search terms to help narrow or broaden your searches.
Subject Guide Search- This will narrow your search by date of publication and whether the articles are available in full-text as well as peer-reviewed. A great way to beef up the academic muscle of your search results.

Gale OneFile US History Collection contains scholarly journals and magazines that can be used by novice historians as well as advanced academic researchers. Updated daily, U.S. History offers balanced coverage of events in U.S. history and scholarly work being established in the field.

Over 50,000 videos cover a wide range of topics organized into broad subjects. Individual segments subdivide each video into discrete shorter units.
