Still to be determined is the arrangement of the middle school standards. This issue will be taken up at the November 4 – 5 meeting of the State Board. Implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards is still a few years away (2015/2016 at the earliest). An implementation plan, curriculum framework, curriculum, instructional materials, professional development for teachers, and assessments will need to be developed.
