Parents of seniors<\/u><\/strong> <\/u>are invited to attend Senior Showcase Day<\/em><\/strong> on Thursday, June 1<\/strong>, from 8:45 <\/strong>am <\/strong>to 3:10<\/strong> pm at MLWGS.  Seniors will make presentations on their respective topics of interest which they have studied through a seminar or mentorship over the course of this school year. <\/p>\n

Parking for Senior Showcase<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong> Parents of Seniors who plan on attending Senior Showcase on Wednesday, June 1, are respectfully requested to park in the James River Bus Lines lot (only on their paved surfaces please<\/em>) so as not to take up parking spaces that are intended for faculty and students. The VUU C.D. King parking lot will be reserved for mentors.<\/p>\n

Important Note to Students:<\/u><\/strong> On the morning of June 1, all students will report to their first block class to pick up their schedules for the day. It will be important for all students to follow the schedule because of space limitations. <\/p>\n

Volunteers Needed:<\/u><\/strong> <\/u>Volunteers are needed to staff various stations throughout the school<\/em><\/strong>. It\u2019s an important but easy job \u2013 feel free to bring a book or some other project to work on during quiet moments. The schedule consists of four<\/u> sessions:  8:50 \u2013 10:10 am; 10:20 to 11:40 am; 12:20 to 1:40 pm; and 1:50 to 3:10 pm<\/em>. Volunteers may sign up for one session or combine two<\/strong> for a half-day morning or afternoon shift.  If interested, please contact Les Cook<\/strong> at lcook@gsgis.k12.va.us.   <\/strong><\/p>\n

Attention Freshmen Parents<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong> Mr. Don Blanton (P.E. Teacher) is preparing a cookout for the freshmen class on this day<\/em><\/strong>. Freshmen will attend the cookout starting at 11:35 and enjoy field activities until 1:45 (please dress comfortably but appropriately<\/em>).  At 1:45, the freshmen will return to the auditorium for a presentation.<\/p>\n
