On Friday, our students heard from enlightening speakers on the topic of mental health.\u00a0 In a personally engaging fashion, the speakers explained how mental schemata and behaviors can be reciprocally reinforced toward both positive and challenging ends.\u00a0 It is thus important that students “mind their minds” in order to self-monitor and self-modify (if necessary) these feedback loops that can be triggered by school experiences (both positive and challenging).\u00a0 It is indeed important that students experience a circle of support from not only our staff but also from their classmates.\u00a0 Gratitude to Ms. Hawkins and Mr. Zweerink for bringing this event to our students and staff.\u00a0 We will begin opt-in follow-up discussions this week.<\/p>\n
