Launch the media gallery 1 playerWelcome back to PC Art! My name is Megan Hines, this is my 10th year of teaching MS/HS Art and my 3rd year of teaching at Putnam County. I was raised in Putnam County (East ender) and graduated here in 2003. I attended Indian Hills for my Associates Degree, Graceland University for my Bachelor's Degree, and Boston University for my Master's Degree.
I have two children; Carleigh (8th grade) who plays MS Softball and Tyler (Kindergarten) who has a personality bigger than he is. At home, we have a Catahoula/Lab named Diesel (not as scary as he looks) and two guinea pigs name Copper and Zinc.
Although teaching MS and HS is a full-time job, I also teach college classes. The past two summers I have taught art for Indian Hills Community College and in a few short weeks, I will be teaching the Art Education Program for Graceland University. It will be a busy year, but I am doing what I love.
If you have recently seen the art room it has undergone some colorful changes, which will continue to be updated as the school year continues. With some rearranging, the east wall is visible. It was the perfect place to add a mural! Ms. Hines and National Art Honor Society students have begun to paint famous artworks, famous artists, and some original student work onto the wall.
