Dear Parents, Students, and other interested parties:
I would like to introduce myself as a high school special education teacher as well as junior high girls’ basketball and JH track coach. IAdditionally I help students with employment opportunities through the vocational rehabilitation program. Volunteering with the Booster Club is part of my life, so if you need some Midget gear or have any ideas let me know. It is hard to believe as a graduate of Putnam Co R1 Schools that I will already be entering my 14th year of teaching 12 of those years spent teaching in this district. A little about myself I grew up in Putnam County then attended the University of Missouri and obtained an agriculture degree, but I decided education is what I really wanted to do. I enrolled in a teacher's certification program and now have completed my masters/specialists program through William Woods University. I have four kids Hollister, Cabryn, Piper, and Ridley. My wife Michele coaches competition cheerleading. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching, going to sporting events, and showing cattle.
One of the main reasons I enjoy teaching is the interaction with the students and helping them learn and achieve in the classroom and athletics. I believe in today’s increasing technology environment it’s still important to have the social skills, adaptability, and a strong work ethic to be successful.
