High school students at Putnam County will have the opportunity this year to meet with different organizations to help them with transition planning. But what exactly is transition planning? It is a plan of action that can help students succeed once they enter the workplace or college. Vocational rehabilitation, pre-employment transition programs, and High Hope have all provided services to the students of Putnam County R-1. Last summer three students was able to work a program where they got real life experience. We would like to thank Hy-Vee, Putnam County R-1, and Charlie's Place for allowing students to have this experience. Also, this school year the PC Care Center is employing students. It’s great to see people working together to benefit the future of both our students and community.
