Fourth graders had a blast at our fall party.  Our wonderful room parents brought treats to share and creative games.  First, the students were asked to use their math skills to estimate the number of treats that filled a mason jar.  Featured treats were candy corn (won by Emma), M&Ms (won by Dylan), and gummy worms (won by Kaidyn).  Then, the students moved on to play a team game in which they had to race against each other to make up a teammate as the best mummy.  Students wrapped toilet paper around their classmates from head to toe in order to create the appearance of a mummy.  The winning team wrapped up Trace so well that we could not see his face.

Finally, the whole class took over the hallway for Mummy Racing.  In this game, students divided into two groups and each formed a line.  Each member of the team had to walk to the end of the hall and back while balancing bean bags on their extended arms.  The race was close, and the whole class ended up with a slimy treat as a reward for their good sportsmanship and participation.
