On Wednesday, April 29th the resource class of Mr. Klingner’s traveled to Honeycreek State Park in Moravia, Iowa. Once they arrived they were greeted by a naturalist that guided them to a pond at the park. There they were allowed to use pond nets to catch creatures and check the traps. Turtles, snakes, and crawdads were everywhere, which the students enjoyed. After the pond adventure the class walked on a nature trail enjoying the beautiful day. Finally, the class went for a picnic at the playground area. I would like to think Honeycreek Park for allowing us to come up, the students for behaving, and all the staff that went with us. It was a valuable learning experience!!
