Letter of Introduction from Mr. Klingner
Dear Parents, Students, and other interested parties:
I would like to introduce myself as middle and high school special education teacher as well as junior high girls’ basketball /track coach. In addition I also help students with employment opportunities through the vocational rehabilitation program. It is hard to believe as a graduate of Putnam Co R1 Schools that I will already be entering my 10th year of teaching; eight of those years have been spent teaching in this district.
A little about myself. I grew up in Putnam County then attended the University of Missouri and obtained agriculture degree, but I decided education is what I really wanted to do so I enrolled in a teachers certification program and now have completed my masters/specialists program through William Woods University. I have three kids Hollister, Cabryn, and Piper and my wife Michele works at the PC Care Center. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching, going to sporting events, and showing cattle.
One of the main reasons I enjoy teaching is the interaction with the students and helping them learn and achieve in the classroom and athletics. I believe in today’s increasing technology environment it’s still important to have the social skills, adaptability, and a strong work ethic to be successful. If you ever have questions for me feel free to get ahold of me. Thanks and I am looking forward to another year.
Sincerely,
Matt Klingner
