Welcome back Midgets! I am excited to start a new school year in the FCS classroom. Before I explain my 2012-2013 schedule, I thought I would provide some of my history. It all started for me, right here, in this community. I was born and raised by Tim and Barb Hodges, who are also Putnam County Alumni. After graduating in 2007 from Putnam County, I attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in 2010. I also graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from Northwest in 2011.
I was hired as a teacher at Putnam County in the fall of 2010 and have been teaching here for the last two years. I teach various subjects related to Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) in the High School and Middle School buildings. My extra-curricular activities include coaching varsity football and basketball cheerleading as well as advising our local FCCLA chapter. I currently live north of Unionville with my husband Clint Stobbe, originally from Eagleville, MO, who is employed with Premium Standard Farms.
I always hoped I would have the opportunity to return to the school that provided me with an excellent education, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities that has molded me into the the teacher I am today. I am committed to providing students with real-world application in my classroom. I am looking forward to what this new school year will bring to the students, teachers, parents, and community members of Putnam County.
