Changes to K-12 COVID-19 Requirements

Updated Requirements to Mitigate COVID-19 Transmission in Schools

On March 7, 2022, the Washington Department of Health released updated guidance to mitigate COVID-19 transmission in schools. The previous K-12 Requirements for the 2021-2022 School Year and K-12 Supplemental Considerations have been merged into one document and streamlined.

Governor Inslee also announced, the statewide mask mandate – including in schools – will lift at 11:59 pm on March 11. This means that beginning Monday, March 14, barring a new requirement from our local health department, masks will become optional in our school buildings and on school buses. Masks will still be required on Pullman City Transit buses until further notice.
