On May 23, 2018, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) released the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights School Self-Assessment - District and School Grades. The purpose of the assessments is to reinforce and strengthen the school’s climate and culture through prevention and intervention efforts targeted towards harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB). The New Jersey Department of Education is not issuing an associated value or ranking for the raw and average scores. However, the scores reflect the school and school district’s degree of compliance with the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights (ABR), as determined primarily through each school’s Self–Assessment. The maximum assessment score for each school is 78 points. The Plainfield Public School District’s overall score is 73. Upon completion of the Self-Assessment, we learned that our District/Schools have demonstrated strengths in the following areas:
HIB Investigative Procedure HIB Reporting HIB Personnel Other Staff Instruction and Training Programs
