Child Study Team/Related Service Providers

The department  has 7 child study team (CST) members housed at the high school, including learning disability teacher consultant, social workers, transition coordinator/counselors and a psychologist.  These team members work with teachers and parents to develop an individualized education plan (IEP) for each classified student.  They also monitor the progress of the student and re-evaluate the IEP accordingly.

The PATHS program is an educational program for students experiencing difficulty requiring more intensive services. Students attending PATHS have difficulty regulating their emotions to the point that the smaller program best meets their needs.  Students are still a part of Piscataway High School while attending this annex program located at the Administration Building.  PATHS is designed to improve social emotional functioning, behavior control and academic performance.

The SAIL program is a life skills and transition program for students aged 18-21 with autistic, developmental and cognitive impairments.  Students develop workplace preparedness and functional life skills through activities inside and outside the classroom. Students are exposed to a variety of occupations via structured learning experiences and community based instruction.
