Every May, through the generous support from sponsors and donors of the Shining Stars Event, the Education Foundation is able to celebrate and honor the top seniors from each of Pasadena ISD high schools and their Distinguished Educators.
The purpose of the Shining Stars Recognition Event is to award seniors whose academics shine the brightest on their campus. Ten students with the highest grade point averages from each high school are invited along with their parents and the educator "who has had the most impact on their education." It is a star-studded event with foundation donors, board members, and the community all coming together to recognize the success and accomplishments of this elite group of young people and educators.
The Shining Stars event is usually a gala held on the third Thursday of each year. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Foundation had to switch from a sit-down gala to a car parade around Veterans Memorial Stadium in order to follow social distancing protocols. In 2021, due to rainy weather, the parade was moved indoors inside Phillips Gym. For 2022, it was an indoor parade again. This year we would like to elevate this Gala back to the spectacular event it has been in the past. The 2023 Shining Stars Gala will be held on May 2, 2023, at the Pasadena Convention Center. We want to recognize our students in a way that matches their academic achievements. Each student will also have the opportunity to recognize a teacher who they feel played a substantial role in giving them the assistance and encouragement needed to make it in the top ten. Both student and teacher will be recognized at the Shining Stars Gala.
We hope to, once again, provide each of these students a laptop or some type of technology for them to take to college. We are currently looking for an organization to sponsor this gift for the students. There will be many marketing benefits for event sponsors such as being included in the sponsorship listing inside the printed program, recognition on the foundation website and social media platforms, recognition during the gala, and table toppers with name and logo.
Here are the sponsorship levels to choose:
• Major Sponsor ($10,000 or more) - (includes VIP table for 8, special recognition during the event, and logo on the back cover of the program)
• Platinum ($5,000) - (includes VIP table for 8 & logo and thank you in the program)
• Gold ($2,500) - (VIP table for 8)
• Silver ($1,500) - (table for 8)
• Bronze ($750) - (table for 4)
