On Wednesday, December 15th, the Chevron Pasadena Refinery distributed over 130 bikes to neighboring PISD schools during their annual Toys for Tots campaign.
The employee-funded initiative is Chevron Pasadena's way of giving back to their local community and spreading some holiday cheer.
For many of these students, this was their first bike. As students were surprised with their new bikes, tears of joy from students and faculty filled the room.
"It was gratifying to see the smiles on the faces of the kids... We value the relationship that we have built with the Pasadena community and are thankful for the warm welcome," said Rajni Yadav, corporate affairs manager, of Chevron Pasadena.
