Two Fine Arts Students Advance to Finals in 3D Art Contest

Pasadena Memorial's Tram Le and Sam Rayburn's Jairo Cordova recently advanced to the Grand Prix judging round in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo 3D Art Contest held last Thursday at the Reliant Center.

Gold Medal
Jairo Cordova Sam Rayburn HS
Both the 2D and 3D awards announcement will be made at the March 8th Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Awards Ceremony, when the students will find out if they have advanced to the Auction round.
Additionally, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo sponsored another student opportunity entitled the Quick Draw Contest. Students in grades 6-12 submitted a 50-minute sketch in one of two categories at the high school or junior high level. Once chosen as a finalist, the students competed in a live 50-minute drawing during the course of the rodeo.
