Pasadena ISD held its annual district-level Spelling Bee, Tuesday, Feb. 11, to crown this year’s spelling bee champion.
Taking home the district championship trophy this year was Bryce Lartigue from Melillo Middle School and runner up was Y Tran, of Thompson Intermediate.
Both winners will move on to represent Pasadena ISD in the Houston Public Media Spelling Bee on Saturday, Feb. 29, at Houston ISD’s Baylor College of Medicine Academy at Ryan Middle School.
The Houston Public Media Spelling Bee will televise and stream the Spelling Bee at a later date to be determined. To watch the broadcast, tune into PBS-Channel 8.1.
