The Pasadena South Rotary recently honored outstanding high school teachers throughout the district at its annual Teacher of the Year Luncheon at the Silver Sycamore.
The event kicked off with an inspirational message from the keynote speaker, Troy McCarley, associate superintendent of campus development.
“You are a positive role model for students,” McCarley said. “You dedicate countless hours to ensure that students succeed in school and in life, and for that we are forever grateful to you.”
Campus administrators accompanied each Teacher of the Year and shared inspiring stories about why they were selected for the award.
Each winning teacher received a glass plaque in honor of their extraordinary work.
This year’s high school Teachers of the Year are Trish Boudra, J. Frank Dobie; Alfred Valdez, Pasadena; Rene Caudillo, Pasadena Memorial; Motee AbuNima, Sam Rayburn; and Kathy Bryant, South Houston.
