Introduction

Dear Third Grade Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am Ms. White and this is my 26th year of teaching; I have a Master of Arts in Education from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey and I am excited to have your child in my class!

This year we will focus on number sense, multiplication fluency, fractions, and geometry in math.

I have very high expectations for all of my students, and your child will be very busy this school year! These expectations include:

▪ Arriving to class on time and prepared with pencils and notebooks

▪ Completing daily assignments (with your support, when needed)

▪ Respectful classroom behavior to teachers and classmates

▪ Never give up and try your best

I strongly believe that all children have the ability to learn at their level. Some are quicker and some take longer than others; some are more visual, some are more auditory and some are more tactile. It will be my mission in  class and with your help at home to help each student achieve and succeed while teaching with their level in mind.

Should you have any questions throughout the school year, please feel free to contact me. You can also visit our class webpage. Visit the district website: orange.k12.nj.us and click on Forest St School. Click on faculty and then click on my name. You will find assignments and expectations listed and an update on what we are working on in class. I look forward to an outstanding school year with your child!

Educationally yours,

Ms. Christal White
