Required Instruction Related to African American History and Holocaust Education
Instruction on the history of African Americans and the Holocaust has been mandated by Florida law since 1994. Per Florida Statute 1003.42, these subjects are far more than just educational requirements; they offer profound insights into the human experience; challenging us to confront difficult truths, cultivate empathy, and ultimately, build a more just and inclusive society.
As a parent, you play an important role in your child's education. By being aware of the standards embedded within related courses that align with these components of required instruction, you can help your child succeed.
