Magnet Description
The International Baccalaureate Magnets include a two-year, rigorous course of study to prepare students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program during their junior and senior years. The program offers extensive study in language arts, history, liberal arts, mathematics and science and stresses the development of communication and analytical skills. The IB program is recognized internationally by colleges and universities. Students throughout the Orange County School District may apply for this program. IB high school programs serve several middle schools. See below for your designated IB high school. Participating students enter the program as freshmen and a limited number may enter as sophomores.
Please note that bus transportation is not provided for these programs.
Specific Eligibility Requirements: Applicant’s schedule must be able to accommodate magnet classes; eligibility will include the previous two school year's GPAs.
Evans High School serves students who are zoned for the following middle schools: Audubon Park School*, Apopka, College Park, Lakeview, Lockhart, Maitland*, Meadowbrook, Ocoee, Piedmont Lakes, Robinswood, Wolf Lake
