Frank Thompson began ministering at the age of 14 in his father’s church, he followed his father in ministry and preached revivals, served as a deacon and choir director. Frank was ordained and licensed in 1988 after serving at Mt Zion church in West Palm Beach FL for 7 years. Frank was recruited by Walt Disney World Resorts which initiated his moved to Central Florida. He was part of the opening team of Disney’s Yacht & Beach, Port Orleans and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Frank was quickly elevated and was tasked as a manager of the Disney University, where he was responsible for design, development and facilitation of training programs.
Leadership is an ability Frank cultivated very early and has manifested in many aspects of his life. His visionary focus comes from a wide variety of experiences, expertise and education. He holds a Bachelors in Health Services Administration, Masters in Business Administration and a Doctor of Divinity Degree. Frank was promoted to the rank of Captain while serving in the U.S. Army for 12 years. He was involved in training of ROTC cadets, leading an artillery unit and leading a food service operation at the brigade level. In 2001, Frank started a consulting company (FCS Enterprises) specializing in quality service, organizational development, team building, and diversity. His clients included: Campbell’s Soup, Walt Disney World, Harcourt Brace, and The Florida Children’s Forum, just to name a few.
Frank is the founder and President of Youth Central/AWCD. Youth Central/AWCD provides an alternative safe environment for suspended students, a mentoring program and “Creating Lasting Family Connections” (CLFC). Frank is a Master Trainer with CLFC which is a recognized NREPP program with SAMSUHA as an Evidence-based program effective in Drug & Alcohol training. Parents are invited with their children to the program. Youth Central’s Suspension program (Fresh Start Academy) has served students for the past 12 years in grades 1st through 12th and has a 70% success rate.
The greatest opportunity came as a founding Pastor of The Worship Center Orlando. This allowed Frank to utilize all his experience, expertise and education to do God’s work and develop communities. Pastor Thompson’s vision is to bring salvation to the un-churched, education to the community, and economic empowerment to everyone who will receive it.
