Welcome to the Orange County Public Schools Neglected and Delinquent Programs
Orange County Public Schools appropriates Title I Federal grant funds to Neglected & Delinquent Programs (N&D) within OCPS alternative education schools that are providing high quality educational services to children and youth who are in a local corrections facility, detention center or at risk program. ORANGE REGIONAL JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER (ORJDC)
2800 South Bumby Avenue Orlando, FL 32806
Students at ORJDC are adjudicated or awaiting adjudication directed by the Juvenile Justice Court System. Students are temporarily placed for reassignment to the community or a DJJ Residential Facility.
ORANGE YOUTH ACADEMY (OYA)
3150 39th Street, Orlando, Florida 32839
Students are assigned to OYA by the Department of Juvenile Justice. This is a non--secured program that provides mental health overlay services to 25 male youths. OYASA provides substance abuse overlay services to 15 male youths and OIYA provides intensive mental health services to 16 males youths, special needs mental health services, social and life skills, vocational training and on-site educational classes for academic and vocational instruction.
JUVENILE OFFENDERS PROGRAM (JOP)
Orange County Correctional Facility, 33rd Street, Orlando, FL 32839
The Juvenile Offenders Program students are incarcerated at the Orange County Correctional Facility and are adjudicated as adults. Students receive academic instruction which leads to a standard high school diploma or GED.
