OCPS Parent Academy
The OCPS Parent Academy is an educational opportunity designed to enhance student achievement through the support of community and family engagement. The program’s purpose is to strengthen and increase the expertise of families.
Workshops are conducted by experts from the district, school-based personnel and community partners. Parents will receive an array of support for their children and themselves.
The face-to-face academies emphasis four strands tracks:
- Supporting Student Success: Student Achievement
- Getting Involved: Leadership and Advocacy
- Promoting Well-Being: Social Emotional Wellness/Health
- Embracing Multiculturalism: Connecting diverse cultures to the school system

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration closes at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Pre-registration recommended.
Special accommodations are provided to the children (students ages 4 to 18) of participating parents, allowing them to attend the Youth Academy. The Youth Academy follows the same schedule as the adult sessions. Registration is required for children, and parents must attend adult sessions.
We have 2 ways to register:
