Reading and Writing Curriculum Information:
For 7th and 8th grades, we utilize Pearson’s myPerspectives and CommonLit for the majority of our instructional resources/materials. Remediation and assessment programs include IXL, ClearSight, and Accelerated Reader. Class novels for 7th grade include “Touching Spirit Bear” and “The Cay,” and 8th grade reads/studies “The Giver” and “Lord of the Flies.” Middle School students also read/study the play, “A Christmas Carol."
9th-12th grades also utilize myPerspectives and CommonLit, and many 9th and 10th grade students continue with IXL.
All students have access to a library collection of novels.
