New Haven School District Celebrates Academic Success in the 2024–2025 School Year
The New Haven School District is proud to celebrate a year of strong academic achievement and continuous improvement during the 2024–2025 school year. Through focused instruction, intentional use of data, and a commitment to student growth and engagement, our students and staff achieved notable success on both the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) tests and the Annual Performance Report (APR).
MAP Assessment Success
Student performance on the 2025 MAP assessments highlights the district’s continued academic strength across multiple content areas. Overall results demonstrate that New Haven students consistently perform at or above state averages while showing meaningful growth over time.
Across 18 MAP-tested areas, New Haven ranked in the top three positions in 11 areas, including four first-place rankings. In total, 14 of the 18 tests scored above the state average, underscoring the effectiveness of classroom instruction and curriculum alignment. When examining long-term trends, the district’s four-year average shows 16 tested areas performing above the state average, reflecting sustained success rather than isolated gains.
These outcomes are the result of a strong focus on individual student success. Teachers and administrators regularly analyze assessment data to adjust instruction, provide targeted interventions, and ensure students continue to progress academically. This growth-centered approach was a key driver behind the district’s MAP success.
APR Achievement and District Certification
In addition to strong MAP results, the New Haven School District achieved outstanding results on the Missouri Annual Performance Report (APR). The APR is the primary accountability system used by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to evaluate and certify school districts.
For the three-year composite APR, New Haven ranked first, a significant achievement that reflects consistent performance across multiple years. This composite score is the metric DESE uses to certify school districts, making this recognition particularly meaningful. High academic growth scores and strong student attendance rates were imperative in achieving this top ranking.

Attendance plays a critical role in student learning and overall district performance. New Haven’s emphasis on student engagement, family partnerships, and consistent attendance contributed directly to improved outcomes and APR success. Combined with strong growth data, these factors positioned the district as a leader in accountability performance.
Looking Ahead
The academic success of the 2024–2025 school year reflects the collective efforts of students, staff, families, and the community. New Haven School District remains committed to maintaining high expectations, supporting student success, and building on this momentum in the years ahead.
