The definition of a hero is " a person who is admired, who has courage, and shows outstanding achievements" in the face of danger. Mrs. Nowell's social studies students read a passage about 9/11 called "Hero's of September 11th". They filled out an exit slip to show their understanding of what the heros of 9/11 did. The exit slip was taped to the wall under her 9/11 poster to show the rest of the school what a hero is.
