Mr. Richard Boykin

Hello! I'm Mr. Boykin,

I am a 1984 graduate of Sebastopol Attendance Center who has earned an AA degree (1986, East Central Junior College), a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree (1988, Mississippi State University), a Master of Music Education Degree (1990, Mississippi State University) and a Specialist in Educational Leadership Degree (1999, Mississippi State University – Cohort I).  I have 34 years in education. My career has been fostered in both the public and private sector of education in Mississippi.  Previous job responsibilities have included… band director (Leake Academy), elementary music educator (Neshoba Central Elementary School), Administrative Assistant (Neshoba County School District), Assistant Principal (Neshoba Central Elementary School), and Principal (Carthage Elementary School).  I currently serve the Neshoba County School District as the chorus director for the middle school.  Other current teaching duties include providing instruction for General Music classes.  I also serve as liaison, Dual Credit Music Appreciation instructor via William Carey University.

On a personal note, I have also served as Minister of Worship for Linwood Baptist Church and for East Philadelphia Baptist Church in Neshoba County for the past 26 years.

My wife and I of 30 years, Lynn, along with our daughter Chloe , reside in the Madden Community of Leake County.
