This document will walk you through the steps to create an Assignment that requires the students to upload media, and it will show you how a student will upload their project (photo, audio, or video).

Why would you want to do this?

1. A photo or video will display visual proof of what a student has learned, especially if the student has narrated the video.

2. Audio will display audible proof of student learning. Perfect for foreign language classes.

3. Digital storytelling projects are excellent examples of Modification and redefinition within the SAMR Model.

4. Students will be able to create the media file, and upload the file into Canvas using only their smartphone, iPod Touch, or tablet. If they don't have such a device, they can do the same with a digital camera and any computer. A separate training document will cover how to use the mobile app.
