PUBLIC MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in a public on Monday,December 9, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Office. Board Room Members present: Mary Wysong, John Hilger, Paul Sloffer, Ronald Felger and Kent Somers. Also present: Chris Himsel, Bill Mallers, Gloria Shamanoff, John Bloom, Lisa Harris, and reporters.

I.C. 20-26-5-4.3 Public meeting on proposed employment contract between governing body and school superintendent.

John Bloom presented information on the Superintendent's Contract.

Audience Comments: None

Board Comments: Paul Sloffer, on behalf of the School Board of Trustees, expressed his appreciation for Mr. Himsel's performance at Northwest Allen County Schools, Ron Felger concurred.

No other business was discussed.

REGULAR MEETING

The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. Members present: Mary Wysong, John Hilger, Paul Sloffer, Ron Felger and Kent Somers. Also present: Chris Himsel, Bill Mallers, Gloria Shamanoff, Lisa Harris, and reporters.

President Mary Wysong called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the November 25, 2013 regular meeting as presented by Kent Somers; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.

Kim Lochmueller, Cedar Canyon Principal, requested permission to accept a donation from the Cedar Canyon PTO in the amount of $20,000.00 to be used for a mobile laptop lab and locked cart. BUSINESS REPORT

1. COMMON CONSTRUCTION WAGE MEETINGRecommended appointment of Bill Mallers as Industry Representative and Niles Pfafman as Taxpayer Representative for a common construction wage committee meeting for the 2014 Carroll High School Roofing project. Motion to approve by PaulS loffer; seconded by Ron Felger. Motion carried.
2. CORPORATION PURCHASESRecommended approval of the enclosed Capital Projects Emergency Resolution for $7,650.00.Motion to approve by Paul Sloffer; Seconded by John Hilger. Motion carried.
3. CORPORATION PAYMENTSRecommended Building Corporation Payments - Series 2013 Bond Refunding - $21,226.76. Motion to approve by John Hilger; seconded byRon Felger.

Motion to approve claims and payroll, subject to audit, by John Hilger; seconded by Kent Somers. Motion carried.
