REGULAR MEETING
The Northwest Allen County Board of School Trustees met in regular session on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room. Members present: Ron Felger, Kent Somers, Paul Sloffer, John Hilger, and Liz Hathaway. Also present: Chris Himsel, Gloria Shamanoff, Bill Mallers, Lisa Harris, staff, students, patrons and a reporter.
Motions herewith mentioned are unanimous unless otherwise stated.
President Ron Felger called the meeting to order. Motion to approve the minutes of the February 23, 2015 regular meeting as presented by Kent Somers; seconded by John Hilger. Motion carried.
COMMENDATIONS
Dr. Gloria Shamanoff presented the following commendations: Corbet Elkins, Arcola Elementary Student, Ryan McCann and Caitlyn Newmark, Huntertown Elementary students, and Chandler Swain, Perry Hill Elementary student, were recently accepted to attend Ball State University Big M Math Camp this summer.

K. GIFT/GRANT/DONATION ACCEPTANCETanya Pickett, Carroll High Assistant Principal, requested permission to accept a donation of $28,645.00 in Perkins Grant money from the Area Vocational Director, Mr. Larry Geradot, to be used for equipment, materials and supplies for the Career and Technical Education programming, including our Project Lead the Way Pathways in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering. Mr. Himsel congratulated the CHS Boys Basketball team for winning the sectional and the CHS Speech team for winning the sectional.
