Powerwash a Chromebook (New method)

Factory reset your Chromebook (2023)

  1. Sign out of, restart, or power off/on your Chromebook.
  2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r all at once after the Chromebook has restarted.
  3. Select Restart.
  4. In the box that appears, select Powerwash and then Continue.
  5. Select Let's go.
  6. Connect to the wireless network:
    1. Select either* MLSD_Staff or MLSD_Student Wifi and sign in with your Google credentials.
  7. Accept the Google terms of service.
  8. Sign in with your Google Account.
 
Once you've reset your Chromebook:
    1. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Chromebook.  
    2. Check if the problem is fixed.
