Every three years Moses Lake High School Chamber Choir takes a trip, with this year being Honolulu Hawaii. The significance of this trip was not only to see and experience Pearl Harbor in person but to contribute and connect to the visitors through their music. The MLHS Chamber Choir have been preparing 14 songs for their two performances since their retreat in August.
MLHS Choir Director David Holloway stated, “I believe that through our music, my students felt a much stronger connection to the significance of our visit and all of us were moved to tears on more than one occasion throughout the year in class and in our performances both at home and at the memorial. From Hula and Ukelele lessons, learning the language, meeting the people and experiencing the traditions in hands-on demonstrations, my students were exemplary in every way and I was constantly told how great they were, everywhere we went.”
Awesome job students! What a wonderful opportunity and way to represent Moses Lake!
