Provides leadership and support for programs designed to meet the needs of Special Education students, district wide psychological services and supplemental educational intervention programs for all students.

The Mountain View School District offers a full range of special education programs and services. The District is committed to providing appropriate services to meet the special needs of our students.

Special Education Services include such options as speech and language support, adaptive physical education, intensive needs pre-school, resource specialist support, as well as specialized classes. The majority of Mountain View students are served on our regular education campuses. The special education staff is incorporated into the total general education staff at all schools.

Although the majority of students are served within our district, there are a number of regionalized programs operated by individual districts within our SELPA. The Mountain View School District belongs to the West San Gabriel Valley Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) with other individual districts, including the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
