Miramonte School (TK-6)

Miramonte is entering our third year of supporting students’ social-emotional learning through the framework of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS).  This program sets clear expectations for student behavior both in common areas around the school as was well as expectations in each of our classrooms.  As a school we have adopted the MIRAMONTE STARS, where students demonstrate the following in all areas of the school:

·         Thoughtful

·         Accountable

·         Respectful

·         Safe

This common language and clear expectations, enable students to make better choices as they navigate their days here at school.  Students are recognized for meeting the goals listed above in public assemblies and on an individual basis. In addition to PBIS, Miramonte will work collectively to implement additional social-emotional learning for students so that they feel successful and continue to build skills to better interact with others.
